ProQual Diploma
Following changes to the CSCS card scheme in September 2017, The Survey School became a ProQual Centre and TSA wrote a specific Level 3 Diploma Qualification in “Engineering Surveying.” This is now up and running and recognised by OfQual. It is also accepted as a route to a Gold card by CSCS.
The Diploma is a vocational qualification with a desk top study carried out by a qualified assessor on completion of the five mandatory units.
The Diploma is aimed at experienced surveyors who have no formal qualifications within survey practise . It is not recommended for trainees or anyone looking to begin a career in surveying.
The Survey School run courses which can help fill in any gaps in your knowledge. We run various short courses, including a 2 day Levelling and a 3 day Total Station course (both for surveying and setting out), a GNSS course, a 5 day Surveying course, plus a 5 day Advanced Setting Out. We can provide EWT sign off (evidence witness statement) for the relevant survey skills taught on a course. Please see here for course details.

CITB Grant Availability
The ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying is eligible for a £600 grant and is available to CITB Member Companies, please see CITB Grant Scheme for further details and information on how to apply. Note that the Diploma is classed as a Short Qualification with CITB.
Please be aware that the assessment process is a desktop study. However, if the assessor feels it to be necessary, a site visit or other form of confirmatory evidence may be required. This will incur an additional charge.
Terms and conditions: T&Cs for Level 3 Diploma
CSCS have agreed that past graduates of the TSA Surveying Course can obtain a CSCS gold card. This applies to those whose course started prior to April 2018. CSCS require a copy of the graduation certificate and a Letter of Authentication. This letter can be obtained by emailing office@surveyschool.org.uk. A duplicate certificate can be provided if needed. The cost for this service is £80 + VAT.
